to be alive

to be able to look up

and to see the sky

If I am only able to see this

in my mind’s eye

then I count this as

my blessing in disguise

This is my blessing

that I can feel

not only what’s at my fingertips

but inside my spirit

a blessing no one can steal

This is my blessing

to know that I am blessed

I try to count them each day

and find them

even when life is a mess

and you will find them everywhere
